Enjoy a day of sightseeing on the Monterey Whale Watching Adventure. Discover the unforgettable adventure of whale watching on one of Monterey's largest and most elegant vessels! Your trip will take place on one of the largest whale watching vessels in Monterey - a 100 ft, high speed vessel that comfortably rides up to 150 people, or a 75 ft vessel. You'll enjoy spacious indoor and outdoor seating, a heated cabin, and large windows for viewing.

Our whale watching tours are narrated by one of Monterey's leading guides...offering a background of over 30 years in the cruise business and holding the reputation as the area's leader in narrated ocean and bay tours, specializing in natural history and biology of marine wildlife, especially whales!

From May through January, we offer 2.5 to 3-hour trips to observe the humpback and blue whales as they feed in the Monterey Bay. From January through April, we offer 2.5 to 3-hour trips to observe the annual gray whale migration.

Time: departs daily at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Passengers must check in 45 minutes before departure time. Tour departs from Monterey - approximately 115 miles south of San Francisco.  
Summary: Tour does not provide hotel pick-up or drop-off. There is no child rate for this tour. For safety reasons no infants under two years of age and no pregnant women. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 800-208-4421. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

PLEASE NOTE: During summer months, morning tours are recommended due to afternoon winds and resulting unsafe sea conditions which sometimes cancel the 1:30 pm cruises.

Because of the Monterey Bay's unique submarine canyon, it's waters are very rich in nutrients. This provides large amounts of feed that attract blue whales and humpback whales, along with birds from around the world.

From May through January, we offer 2.5 to 3-hour trips to observe the humpback and blue whales as they feed in the Monterey Bay. The blue whale is the largest animal to ever live on earth (once reaching lengths of up to 115 feet). The humpback whales are the most active and curious whale known to frequently breach, spy-hop and lunge feed and come to the whale watching boat and people watch. By offering 2.5-3 hour trips you don't need to spend the whole day on the water you have time to make a day out of your trip to the Monterey Peninsula and enjoy other sights like the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

From January through April, we offer 2.5 to 3-hour trips to observe the annual gray whale migration. The gray whales migration is a 12,000 mile round trip from the Bering Sea to Baja, California and back to the Bering Sea, passing through the Monterey Bay in January through April. Killer whales, Minke whales, dolphins, and porpoise can be seen year round. There is always a possibility to see them.
